Meet Our *Virtual* Support Staff
These furry friends play hardball and have managed to negotiate fully remote jobs with our practice.
While they do not come to the office with us, we truly could not be there for you if they were not there for us!
We think you deserve to meet them!
Pablo
Director of Emotional Support Operations
As the Director of Emotional Support Operations, Pablo ensures that all spaces remain stress-free zones through expert-level lounging and perfectly timed soulful eye contact. His specialties include leading daily sunbathing initiatives, offering begrudging yet essential cuddles, and ignoring calls to vacate the couch. A true master of emotional intelligence (and snack detection), Pablo brings unwavering chill and good vibes to the team . Answers to Pablo, Pablito, Mr. Peebs, or Bubba.
Our therapist Leah is owned by Pablo.
Wally
Dr. Cuddles
Wally completed his doctorate in cuteness at Mini-Dach University in Germany, but they have for some reason lost his diploma. While it is true that Wally needs to be constantly held in order to do his job, he would like to remind everyone that that just makes it easier to hold your emotions with you. Wally destroys toys like someone who knows nothing of empathy, but it is all a ruse. As soon as someone picks him up (for goodness sake), he is ready to curl up and help our team get in touch with our inner child, no matter how hard he has to work to find it.
Our therapist Becca is owned by Wally.
Lupe
Chief Security Officer
Lupe believes that everyone deserves to feel safe, including therapists! Lupe brings passionate dedication to her role, whether she is zipping through her hooman Leah’s virtual office with boundless energy or using her powerful bark to keep everyone in line. Fiercely loyal and always on duty, she ensures no window goes unguarded and no visitor arrives unannounced. Whether sprinting between arbitrarily defined “checkpoints” or standing watch from her favorite spot, she keeps the team safe, loud, and loved.
Our therapist Leah is owned by Lupe.
Lula
Director of Desk Disruptions
Tiny but mighty at just 6 lbs, Lula takes her administrative duties very seriously—especially when it comes to unsolicited laptop assistance. Whether it’s offering her "help" with documents or making sure her hooman isn’t too focused, she’s always on the job. Deeply codependent and completely unable to find resilience when not being provided unconditional positive regard, she is still able to provide top-notch, round-the-clock emotional support. And with only four teeth left, she’s perfected the soft bite—a gentle reminder that petting her should always come before work.
Our therapist Libbey is owned by Lula.
Emerson
Emotional Regulation Coordinator
Some dogs enjoy dog parks. Emerson prefers people parks. Having never met a stranger whose feet were not worthy of being immediately sat on, Emerson makes sure our team is grounded and ready for sessions, even when his square breathing is interrupted by licks. Emerson specializes in nose boops, unbroken eye contact, and knocking over everything in sight to come running if he hears a sniffle of any kind. 13 years old and fully deaf now, Emerson uses his nose to sniff out who might need a hug.
Our therapist Marielle is owned by Emerson.
Lulu
Bestest Baby There Ever Was
Lulu provides a safe, judgment-free space for her hoomans to express their thoughts and feelings. With a calm demeanor, she listens attentively to your worries, never interrupting. Lulu has certifications in unconditional support, silent listening, and expert cuddling. She treats everyone with unconditional positive regard. Lulu believes in the power of physical comfort and is always ready to offer therapeutic cuddles upon request. When the team is feeling stressed, lonely, or just needs a soft, furry shoulder to lean on, Lulu is there with open paws.
Our therapist Christin is owned by Lulu.
Ginny
Mindfulness Executive Director
Ginny is a mindful queen. Ginny never misses a ball in her eyeline or a sniff to be sniffed. She is so mindful, in fact, that she sometimes ignores our team’s insistence that she stop noticing every bunny, coyote, deer, and stray cat that appears in her present moment. Ginny struggles with the non-judgmental part of mindfulness, but she’s working on it. In her defense, a lot of the dogs she meets are idiots. Ginny reminds our team of the power of curiosity; after all, you never know when an opportunity to catch a ball might present itself.
Our therapist Marielle is owned by Ginny.
Leo & Cleo
Directors of (Anti)-Productivity
Leo and Cleo are a sibling team committed to their mission of implementing deeply healing and restorative rest and relaxation therapy. Utilizing evidence-based and time honored techniques, they will tempt you away from productivity by looking excessively soft, floofy, and adorable while curled up napping on the couch. When needed, they are trained in advanced practice methods which immobilize you under the weight of their soothing purr and to prevent you from achieving any of your goals for the day.
